That's because there is not any info about uros on the Proexotics site. If you look over the site you will see that the animals they work with are mostly monitors and snakes. I was not aware that they bred uros...but maybe I'm wrong.

DUH...I was reading further down and read Robyn's post about the new uro breeding project and all of the excellent info he presented about creating a good habitat. Sorry, I didn't realize they were starting with uros. I'm sure they will have success and the quality animals people can expect to get from them.

Uros are a new project for us. we are doing some very cool things with Gilas as well, and we are about a year into the new phase of that project, and i still have not put up anything at the site that really touches on it.

things are going great, the animals seem to be doing exceptionally well in the new setups, but i would like more time to learn the ropes and evaluate our steps and progress before i put info on the site. i can talk about the theories and strategies alright, but i would rather have concrete results before i put up info to say "this is how it should be done".

just don't want to get too far ahead of things : )

that said, like i posted below, any good lizard info is good lizard info, and just as we are applying our monitor husbandry and strategies to the Uros, you can gleam a lot of info about our project from reading the monitor info at the site, in the caresheet and FAQ section : )

Robyn...first I want to say I really enjoyed your post on substrates. I was also hoping to find a care sheet on your site for the Uros. I would like to hear what your Uro diet is like. Their mainly veggie diet is much different than the monitors and snakes you have been raising. How is this going and what is the diet you use...veggies, seeds, occasional crickets etc?
