*big* tanks

A friend of mine is thinking of selling his 150 gallon tank. It's got fish in it now, but I suppose one of us can trade them in at a pet store and save the extra stuff in case either one of us wants to have fish again. It's set up as a saltwater tank, though. Any ideas on how I can purge the salt and decorate this huge tank if he decides to sell it I decide to buy it off of him?

If you can get it it would make for a sweet setup. Hope you never need to move it.

I'll bet you can purge the salt with distilled water, a lot of distilled water and hard work. You may even want to try vinigar as well, this would help losen up any calcium based deposites. But I would shy away from anything harsher, as many house hold chemicals can leave residues harder to remove then the salts.

I keep a 125 gallon setup and it so worth it. Check it out on wild sky, it might help inspire.

Your tank is by far the best I have seen. Thanks for sharing.
