Stubborn ole female! !.......question.........please ? : (

East TN Reptile Nov 21, 2003 09:29 PM

I have a 7 year old, healthy female Hog Isle Boa. She breed over two yrs ago. This animal is not fat either. She's the perfect pic of health.
When she produced over 2 yrs ago,she was temp. & light cycled. She's been cycled the EXACT same way for the past 2 yrs and simply refuses to breed!
At one point she would wave her tail up in the air and then SMACK the male with her tail! She finally stopped that
I can't figure for the life of me why she refuses to breed ! ? She eats great. She's got excellent muscle tone & body weight too. Does anyone have a clue on "how to break the spell?" I've left the male with her for over 2 months now. They stay together but no courting or breeding. Please.......any ideas? I'm becoming a desperate man Thanks for taking the time to read. ANY opinions welcome.
Thanks, Dave @ East TN Reptiles

I have some dumerils female like that. Take your male and breed him to another girl. once they get going strong throw him in with that female many times the males will be so wound up to practically rape the girls. My dumerils I have done that with I had the exact same problems as you. I got the males to breed them but still didnt get nothing. My dwarf female is like that reall fussy over males I guess
