Boa Enclosure Temps.?

mossman Nov 22, 2003 12:59 AM

I just got some new boas and I want to be sure I am keeping them correctly.

To start they are babies and I am keeping them in my adult colubrid rack. They seem to have more than enough space and when they het larger will be moved into larger accomadations. the temps in the room that they are kept is roughly 82 degrees during the day and 78 degrees at night. Is this OK or should I supplement a part of their cage w/ some sort of heating element? they are eating fine and seem happy but I want to be sure. Thanks in advance.

during the day so your boa can thermoregualte. 82 is definately not warm enough for daytime highs.
