Cricket size for hatchlings?

kretz11 Nov 22, 2003 01:50 AM

I have eggs hatching as I type this and need to know what would be the best size crickets to order. Also, how much can I expect these guys to eat in a week(there are 8). I took this dragon from someone that was leaving for college and 3 days later she layed 18 eggs......only 8 were fertile. She has since layed two more clutches(20&25) and is about to lay another! I just hope I can find homes for all these guys.

Order 1/4" crickets. They won't eat much the first couple days, but look out when they do!!!
They need to be fed 2-3x a day. Some people have problems getting them to eat, but mine ate a 40-60 per day, per dragon. You may want to introduce pellets early, could save you some money in crix.
