What kind of geckos are these?

Andy1982 Nov 22, 2003 03:17 AM

I purchased these geckos from petco a couple months back. They were sold to me as leopard geckos and i believed the one to be an albino. Upon further research of geckos in general i have become confused and i think the albino may actually be a banded gecko. These pictures were taken the day i bought them so they are a little old and both geckos have grown and have taken on slightly modified markings. Both have developed lines that run vertical (head to tail direction) as opposed to the strictly horizontal stipes in the pictures. The vertical lines are lighter in color. Both are also approx. five inches long head to tip of tail with the one i believed to be albino being slightly shorter and more slender. The skin on both quite bumpy on the the animal's back. Yes, more recent pics would be nice, but my digi cam is temporarily out of order so my description will have to do.

If you could please follow this link and let me know if you have any idea what kind of geckos i have, that would be great! Thank you!

Well, I'm not really sure what to say from the description, and the pictures aren't coming up for me. I get an error message saying that the web page at that URL is unavailable.

Leopard Gecko. I see those at Petco all the time. I own a few as well. They lose all that beautiful banding as they mature.
