what to treat driftwood with?????

pogo_the_dragon Nov 22, 2003 01:15 PM

I found a excellant piece..since I am a cryogenics operator I froze it at -250 degrees for a 1/2 hour and then sandblasted it at work....A few spots though came out pretty pourous and I wanted to actually seal the whole piece..Someone recommended enviro-techs (spelling???) that you can get at a thrift store to seal it and harden it! Anyone else heard of this? Or is there something better that is non-toxic and seals good??? Let me know! Thanks!!!

Most wood sealers or waxes would be fine, just make sure to let it air dry several days in a well ventilated area to ensure all fumes are gone.
