You know what agrivates me......

I just go this new female blizzard about a week ago. I try really hard to quarintine it and make sure that no diseases spread to my other herps.
I then go to my local petstore and all of their leos were bony, and dried. They didn't clean the tanks, and piles of feces full of subtrates are in the corners. This store used to have to nice normal, albino, and leucistic breeders but now they could care less about them and try to fit as many as they can into small 5 gallons. They are like mummies. The store keeps all of their snakes in beautiful conditions with their glossy coats shining, but just let the leos die. When I was getting my food for my pets, I realize that the employee did not wash his hands after touching the reptiles and just picked up the crickets and put them in a bag and ahnd them to me. After all that work trying to quarintine my new gecko, they can all get sick from the petstore.

Why didn't you just refuse the bag of crickets?

How about printing a copy of your post and putting it in an envelope for the manager of the pet store? The manager might take a better look at the leos, and will probably talk to employees about hand washing. Printed word can get more attention than "just" talking to them.

I wonder why in the world they would take good care of some of the reptiles and completely disregard the rest? Usually if some herps are cared for, all are.

The manager is am a**hole. He doen't care. He won't listen to any of the customers. If you ask him something a tries to mock you. A year ago went there to buy a female leopard gecko and he said no. They use every female they have for their "breeding stock." He thinks he is a king or something. You can tell him anything, he could care less.
