help on identification? (need help fast please)

Its skin is light brown and its shell is light brown. A little curve on the shell at the bottom. about 6-7 inches long. Found in Pheonix Arizona... Please help!

Here in Az we have only five native turtle species but unfortunately all but one could possibly fit your description.

Also Phoenix is a big herp town so it could very well be an escaped pet and soemthing exotic. use google to look for images of
"sonoran mud turtle"
"yellow mud turtle"
"desert box turtle"
"desert tortoise"
"texas spiny softshell turtle"
