I dont know much about them but I will tell you what I know. They come from New Guinea, NE Australia, and Solomon Islands. They need a rainforest setup with a lot of humidity because there is much precipitation in those areas. I would recommend temperatures of 75-85 all around with humidity at 75% . They eat crickets and worms just like other geckos of this size (by they way they get about the size of a tokay). They can probably also take pinkies now that I think about it.....If you have any other questions ask me I'll do my best to help.
Thanks for the response. I bought 1.1 this morning and the vendor said rainforest-type setup as well. I've had them home about and hour and a half and they've already hammered down 10 crickets each... they're awesome! Oh, by the way, do you know if another common name is ring-tailed gecko? I found a suspicious caresheet on the 'net that said their eggs incubate for up to 9 months... is this true? Thnaks for the help, I feel more confident about their setup now. Take care,
Andrea
9 months sounds pretty long I would double check that but I dont know they may be right.....The name at which it arrived at the petshop was Borneo Forest Gecko which is peculiar since they are not from Borneo.....very wierd but the general reptile distributor we use makes tons of mistakes.
