If you live in the west or midwest, there's probably a store near you called Fred Meyer. It's a multi-department store (like Wal-Mart) owned by Kroger. They have 3" tropical houseplants for $2 each. Today I picked up two types of Alocasia (elephant ears) and two low growing vines that vaguely resemble pothos. They were just marked 'tropical foliage plant' so I'm not sure exactly what they are. I also picked up a very healthy Nepenthes alta, which did not have any pitchers. I'll see if I can convince it to produce them in the terrarium, as my frogs are too big to be eaten by the plant, even if I did let it get large enough.
