Hey,
Good luck Burms are great fun to work with as with all large pythons. It's funny when I first had an expierience with a larger python it was my first retic he was the calmest gentilest animal i ever had, which stands till this day.....now everyone said I should have gotten a burm instead...so i got a burm alittle bit down the road......The thing was crazy....it will not tame down....But don't worry most do....hes just a got a bad anger management prob lol. I have few other burms like one I just adotpted and she a amazing. I can take her out around anything and shes fine. But good luck, sorry to ramble on about my life lol

No big deal storys are fun. My first retic was a beast. Hents his name beast. It took 2 months to calm him down. He was 6 feet when i got him so he wasn't a baby. He is very tame now doesn't strike even in his cage. So In the long run it was worth it. Whats a couple bad bites among retics.

I actually have a ball python with an anger issue. My burm is a big baby however. Which is amazing considering all he's put up with. He used to belong to a friend's older brother, who got him just to say he had one I think. Him and my friend lived in a small apartment, so he just let the snake (app. 9 ft.) go inside. Fed him for the first couple months then just lost interest, so I would always buy food and feed the snake ("I'll pay you back." right!), make sure it had water, ect. He moved out and I moved in, so he just left the snake, but still told everyone it was his. After a few years he bought a car from me and I made "ownership" of the snake part of the deal. This snake has been locked under a bed, in a closet, sat on, stepped on and has never been aggresive at all. He is now a happy 12' male who's retirement "condo" is in the works and should be done in a month or so. Sorry about the long post, just thought I'd share.
