How to post pics from "My Pictures" in Windows XP

Paul Edwards Nov 22, 2003 11:05 PM

Hi,
I'd like to post some pics that are in my "My Pictures" folder, but there are no addresses when I right click & go to properties like there was when I posted this pic. That's the way I used to do it I think. I had a site back then, so maybe when they were put on the site, that's when they got an address, I don't know. Didn't there used to be a way to post straight from yur folder or is that the classifieds? I don't especially want to open up an acct. at Kingsnake to host my pics, but if that's the only way...
I have some caging pics that will blow you all away too !!!
Let me know if you can help. Thanks,
Paul Edwards

You cannot post pictures that are on your computer because your computer is not accessible to other computers on the internet (and you don't want it to be!). They must be stored on a publicly accessible web server.

Kingsnake allows you to store up to 1 Mb of pics for free using your login name. Click on the photo gallery link within the links at the top of each kingsnake.com page. Load your pics there and then you can post them easily, using either the pull down menu at the bottom of the posting page or putting them inline using the img tag (click the little Tools and Toys link at the bottom corner of the reply window to see how to do this).
