This is a picture from about 10 years ago of a feeding bite from a 14-15 foot scrub python, (kinghorni,) that I got from carelessly opening the cage. The snake constricted me and held his bite for about 20 minutes. Actually, this is the smaller of two pools of blood that I lost from several cut veins on the top of my hand. As messy as it looks, no real damage was done--the cuts healed without scars.

Scrubbies are beautiful magnificent snakes, but they are not for the faint of heart, nor are they for the unprepared.
