sand, real or artificial?

kimbrlee Nov 23, 2003 01:32 PM

Hi all,
I was wondering what the most popular is? I've been using the vita-sand stuff, but it's really dusty! What does everyone else use? Scout really ignores the crickets that have been dusted, so I feel at least he must get something from the fortified sand, but maybe the real thing is healthier?
Thanks!
Kim

get 50 lb. bag at homedepot for about 4 dollars and something.
Sometimes if you use to much of the calcium powder they wont eat them at all, I have some like that also. I just use a wee- bit on theres. But i make sure the crickets are well fed, and get calcuim in their diets as well to compensate. Eve
