Pacman Temp questions

anrkii Nov 23, 2003 02:04 PM

ok, ive got a new pacman, in a good tank setup, but im having temperature difficulty. its 65 in there right now, and i need to hike it up about ten degrees, so what can i do? its a ten gallon with full hood, and ive got a heatpad which i will NEVER use again, as i had a pac cook on that thing last winter.
do you think i can use a small heatlamp with a 60w incandescent through the glass to help? any other suggestions other than the heatpad?
thanks in advance

I would try the 60 watt lamp on one side of the tank. If it gets too hot, you can adjust how high above the tank the light rests by using a clamp, wrapping the cord up around something, ect or you can buy a dimmer switch to limit the amount of electricity flowing through. Andy
