Can you help.................?

Hey everyone,
We recently acquired a wc green tree python and, you guessed it...he has mites (black ones). We've been treating him with Reptile Relief by Natural Chemistry; I had success with this product in using it on my Uros so I trust it. Problem is, now the little guy sits on the bottom of his enclosure and looks a little wrinkled/dehydrated. He's eating pretty well but isn't hanging out on his branches like he used to. Any suggestions? Oh, we tried to put him in his water dish (to soak/rehydrate) but he climbed right out. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Check your temps. I've seen gtp's go to the bottom of the cage toget away from the heat. I keep mine at 82 day time high and 78 night time low. Also try misting him with "warm" water from a spray bottle. Gtp's will drink water from thier coils, as opposed to going down and drinking from the water bowl. I'm not an expert but it has worked for me. Good luck!

A anouther method u can use if your chondro is eating is inject the prey with as much water u can, ive used this method a number of times. The most important thing to do is keep your humidity as high as poss...Spray the enclouser once or twice a day and spray the snake also daily if not twice this will help a great deal...It could be the mite product drying the skin out. good luck Stu74
