Heating problem....

I've run into a lil problem....The bulb for my heat lamp blew out and i wont be able to get a new one for about 4 days...any suggesstions on how to keep my tank/snake warm?..right now i have just been keeping him under my normal desk lamp to try and generate heat..will this help a bit?

get a REPTILE UT heat pad, they're more reliable and provide the invaluable belly heat necessary for proper digestion and health

but instead of a "reptile heating pad" cost $30-$50 (canadian)
go to canadian tire and get a human heating pad $20-$25
they are cheaper better made and come with a rehostat built into them. they work great!!!!!!!

You don't have any normal household bulbs? That's what I normally use in heat lamps. Maybe you can 'borrow' a bulb from a desk lamp or something in the meantime.
