I've been checking them out and found Sambavas and Neon Sambavas. Is there really a big difference?

Dawn-
Sambavas are Sambavas. However there are different colors with in the locale. Neon Sambavas are more like a designer name and are still Sambavas. There are some Sambavas that are not as bright in color as others IE both there calm and fired up coloration. Attached are a few photos of my Sambava male:

Hope this helps!

I check out your site often and am always impressed. I'm thinking about getting a panther this spring after I move and I have always liked the Sambavas followed by the Diegos.

I breed sambavas and although they are the same region of panthers I do have two distinct types that can come from the same clutches.
My normal sambavas always stay the same groups of colors (green, maroon banding, yellows and some orange) What I call my Neon Sambava turn an entirely different color pattern when fired up, they go from normal sambava colorations when calm to bright orange, red and yellow when fired up.
So I call my normal colorations "sambavas" and I call my neon fired up guys "Neons"
