well whats size tank are you gonna put them in?
ive fed mine reptomin turtle stick and other turtles foods from store.you should probably feed it reptomin sticks and some guppies or other feeder fish..
i myself wouldnt keep commons with ally's unless they were in a really big cage. cause most commons nip at other turtles tails.but some do some dont.if you do put them together keep them full or they might get hungry and see the ally's tail as food.
but if i was u i wouldnt keep together unless they were in a huge cage.
thanks

You can, but it should be a pretty big tank, at least a 55 gallon if you plan on keeping them in one tank for at least a year or two.
what do i feed them?
Turtle food, ghost shrimp, live feeder fish (but not goldfish).
are they legal in california?
NO, you can't keep common snappers or Alligator Snappers. They are both illegal to keep in California. So if you are in CA you should probably not even be thinking about keeping them at all unless you are moving to another state where they are legal in the near future. Many other western states have laws against them as well.
can i keep 2 alligater snapping turtles and 2 commen snappers in the same cage?
No, the commons are much more aggressive than the Alligators. Also, it's my opinion that even though the commons are smaller they need much bigger tanks because they are more active.
