we have a broad band that weve had for about 7 months....... we live in the country in oklahoma, is it too late in the year to be released or is that not an option at all because it has been in captivity for that long? thanks

I think it is too late, especially if still housed at warm room temperatures. You might be able to take it off feed for 10 days and begin a cool down and hibernate it somewhere (basement, garage, etc). I am sure there will be someone else to comment on the fear that any snake held in captivity should not be released in the wild for fear of introducing a disease to the wild population....but something you should probably consider?
