Yay! i got my first Collared Lizard ever! hehehe.
His name is Timmy......anyways
I found it funny....i put the cage across from my bearded dragon cage....and the bearded dragon kept watching Timmy and waving his arm at him.
hehehe.

Anyways.....i was wondering.....what does it mean when they wiggle their tail around?....not sure if it meant anything like how the bearded dragons wave and bob heads n stuff.....but does it?

And also i got him Saturday afternoon....it's now sunday night and he hasn't eaten.....should i be worried or is it just from stress of moving?

And if i get another one from the same cluth in another month or so would it be okay to put them together as long as they arne't both male?

Any other tips or anything?.....also is it normal for him to be trying to climb/jump up the glass walls?

hmmmmm anyways this is kool.....he's beautiful and fun....and he doesn't even try to run when i hold him.....at least not yet lol.

anyways thanks everyone.....and i hope he starts eating soon.

thats great Matt ! Everything you asked is all normal, they have a funny way of wagging their tails at times, we all love it.
They do it when ready to pounce crickets too, (somtimes)
And the jumping on the sides of glass, normal, settles down a bit after a while.

But mine seem to do it when I come in the room to come out ofr a run.

And the eating should pick up once he settles. Also around brumation time, so watch for that. He wont want to bask, or eat, just sleep.
But some don't show an interest, (just read up on it).

And yes you can get another to put in with him, but make SURE you have 2 different sexes.
Or you will find yourself breaking up a major biting battle down the line. And they can damage one another !!!

Hey lots a luck, post a pic, we love to see them here. Anything else ya need to know just ask, someone here here will try and help. Eve
