They will metabolize what they need and poop out what they don't need.

Yes, but it would be darn hard to do. basically because our feedstuffs are so low in calcium we would have to be shovelling it down their throats (Thesuppliment) to ever get the levels near equal- let alone above where they SHOULD be.

That said- there was an artical in the Reptiles magasine last month? or the month before.
