Enough bells and whistles...

Hey all, I'm currently re-doing my site for the uromastyx. I'd like to get it to the point where it may be included in people's suggestions on where to go for care info. I had spent so much time playing around with the little "neat" things, I'd forgotten my objective. So now it's cleaned up and much more generic and it's focus is back to info. It could be a lot bigger, but I don't want to just "copy-n-paste" from other sites (though some info is derived from the web) but most from my own experiences. Any important info that I'm missing or should be "altered" feel free to let me know. I know there's nothing on breeding, but I hope to add that once I've run into that experience.
Links and Picture pages aren't up and the video page is up, but still growing. I think that's it.
Keep those uros happy!

Jim

Your site is really good so far. I found that a couple of the side bar buttons didn't work, but I'm sure that is b/c you aren't done with it yet.
Have you finished the caresheet? I was thinking it might be nice to add temps and how big enclosures should be. I know that you have a lot of knowledge on Uros and it would be cool if you could get it all on one site so that we could reference it. Maybe you could even include something about de-worming and the different types of parasites...just a suggestion...
Keep up the good work...I really like it!

Great ideas, I'll work on those points as soon as I get those two pages up. Those kind of updates are now going to be pretty easy.
Thanks
Jim

Hi Jim

Thanks for having such a grest site!!! Nice to have all
the info in one place..As a newbie, I found this to be very
helpful..How about recipe mixtures for Uros that won't eat?
Or what to force feed & how..Just my 2 cents..LuSkyA says

Actually, I keep threatening to video myself force feeding Rocky (just because he's such a good sport about it). I will get those recipes up soon, probably of what they will eat, 'cause the list of "not eats" is way too large.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will get on it.

I'm not an owner...just a lover of uro's.

I really enjoyed your site. I found it to be very informative, and easy to understand.

I also really loved the video's! They were great for a chuckle...especially the ones with them ATTACKING their food! They eat with such enthusiasm!

I have a suggestion Jimbo, for all the newbie breeders.. if you could put the do's and don'ts. Also, homemade incubators if you know please?

jimbo Jun 02, 2003 05:40 PM

As I mentioned in my original post, unfortunately, I don't know squat about breeding do's and don'ts as I don't plan on breeding yet. As for incubators, I've read about using incubators for other animals, but wouldn't know if they're safe.
