Setting up a vert 10gal?

andersonii85 Nov 24, 2003 09:22 AM

Does anyone have or know of a website that has step by step details on how to do this? It seems pretty involved....do you actually have to break the tempered glass? Do you lose structural integrity? Can it still hold a small amount of water?

Thanks for any help.

Well that depends if you plan on putting any holes in the tank. But to make it water tight you can put a cut piece of glass 6' tall and the width of the opening, on the inside of the lip of the tank and silicon it in place. You might need to remove some silicon that in used to hold the top ( now the front ) on the tank. Then you can add the other pieces on the other side of the lip. This is very similar to the 20 gallon conversion.
