going away for a week.....

SittonJ Nov 24, 2003 10:38 AM

I will be going away for a week out of town for the holidays and I was trying to figure out what to do with my leo. Since I've only had her a month, I don't want to stress her out more, but what I was originally considering was taking her, tank and all down to my mom's place in the burbs and having my sister and brother feed and take care of her. However, do you guys think that move would be too traumatic?
The other option I have is leaving a huge amount of mealies in her bowl and having a friend come and check in once or twice while I'm gone. This worries me though because she has never eaten the mealies from her bowl - she only eats when I handfeed her by dropping them in the tank near her. Advice?

I am in the same boat. Just found out that I have to go away for Business for a week. My wife will not touch the live crickets with my LG's eat. Is there any comercial feeder system for Gecko's that will allow for feeding of crickets?

(Like the digital timed fish feeders??)

Thanks

They sell this rock looking thing, i think exoterra makes it. You put some calcium in it and up to 20 crickets. The crickets stay in the rock but when they find their way out your leo can eat them. I have never used one and have no idea how it really works but i remember seeing them in the pet store. Good luck guys
