Loss of appetite

Sarah99 Nov 24, 2003 11:57 AM

I've noticed this winter that my two adult WTF's have lost their appetite. I used to feed them about 6-8 dusted crickets each 3-4 times a week and now I can barely get them to eat more than a couple at a time. I noticed it started about the same time I started trying to feed them a couple of mealworms (which they don't like at all) The only way they will eat them is if I let them wiggle right next to their mouth and they just automatically eat them.

Also, I just changed tanks. But it seems to me conditions are better in the new tank than the old one. The temps are better, I added additional light durring the day (which also warms the tank up) they have more room... More area to climb...

I don't know what the deal is. Got any suggestions?

It seems to me that this time last year they slowed down a bit also... maybe it's the season?

Chances are they are slowing down due to the season. If they look well and nothing else seems wrong, I would just keep an eye on them and just offer less food.
