To go 2.1 or to stay 1.1

So I've had my 1.1 sikorae for almost a year now.
As I've mentioned a few times before, my female laid a few clutches of eggs, but none of them were fertile. In fact, I've never even heard my male give a mating call.

I have a few reasons to believe that the maturity of the male may have something to do with it. When I acquired them, the male was about 2/3 the size of the female, and seemed quite a bit more fiesty than the female. Now a year later, they are almost the same size. He has also mellowed down quite a bit.

Although I've read that sikorae reach sexual maturity very young, like six months?

Anyways, I'm wondering if you guys think it's a good idea to try to obtain another male this Winter to 'better the odds' in the Spring, or if I should just leave things as they are.

There is a male at the local reptile store that has some amazing coloration, but he has dropped his tail, and I'm worried that he may be really stressed out.

male is to stressed out.never breed a male or female for that matter that has a dropped tail. i would get a new male though, as if you allow ritualized combat it could help them breeding the long run. i however would not keep 2 males with one female. it might not hurt to get more than one female either. some times they just get bored with each other. a nice group would be 2.4 or 3.4 though you never know if you get just 2.2 or 2.3.
