Difference btwn Rankin and BD

scubaqueen Nov 24, 2003 03:06 PM

I was curious if there's a way to tell the difference between a baby Rankin and a baby BD. About two months ago I bought a baby dragon (that was about two months old) and at the time he was identical to another dragon that I had recently bought (which was also about two months old). Now about two months later, he's about eight inches and she's about eleven inches.

i don't know a shure fire way to tell but it has been my experiance that the rankins dragons had mor rounded features and paterns the paterns also appear more defined usually this is just my opinion and it is totally possible that i am wrong but maby it would help if you went and looked at some pictures of some of each then you could decide yourself hope that i was some help my advise is to go search for images of both of them on google or in a book one good book is the bearded dragon manual it shows both inside

Rankin's definately have a different pattern. Some inland beardies (the common ones) don't get as big as the 'average' ones. So if you have a tiny beardie with the inland pattern, chances are it's an inland.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
