Paradox Ball Python!!!!,,,,,AWESOME SNAKE!

lanierreptiles Nov 24, 2003 04:05 PM

This is my female Paradox Ball Python. She weights just over 500 grams and is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL...I dont know much about the genetics of the paradox, but hopefully she can be proven through line breeding. I have only seen paradox albino balls, but this is my first paradox "normal" ball that I have seen. She was aquired through Jared Horenstein. He was a PLEASEURE to do business with...easily contacted when i needed questions answered. Looking forward to doing business with him in the future. anyways.....enjoy the pic...let me know what you think.!

What's the paradox? At the least it needs a new name!

I have a rainbow boa with an identical spot, I hope the spot on that animal came from a different origin.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?

Is that the only spot on it? If so, I doub't it is genetic; However, only time will tell. I was under the impression that paradox' have a number of random black speckling, and not one big back spot...... Do you think a bunch of ball pythons with big black spots will sell very well? One thing is for certain: It's a female, and you can't have too many of those, but I would not be breeding normals too her, so that if she doe's not end up being some new morph, at least the babies will be of proven lines and of some value. Good luck,

The scales are 100% perfect in every way.......

She is sweet.

I was under the impression that a paradox was an albino with black spots. Thus the paradox, since albinos should not have any black. (I don't see anything paradoxical about a normal looking snake with a black blotch )

Am I wrong about this?

There are so many morphs out there, and so many people making up names to describe anything slightly different than normal, that it can be hard to keep up with all the new terms.

You can see the scales are in place, if it were a burn there would be alot of scar tissue. Is it possible to post a closeup picture of that area. Looks very interesting, but not a burn.

lanierreptiles Nov 25, 2003 08:01 PM

It is definantly not a scar or burn...
