I usually get my mice from the breeder that sold me the snake. I know that he raises healthy mice. Now he's out and won't have any for another week. So I went to a local petshop to get one instead. I brought the mouse home, opened the box and noticed that it's feces aren't like the feces from the mice from the breeder. They are light brown instead of black and they are soft and mushy instead of hard. It almost seems like the mouse has diahrea (sp).
I might be paranoid but I have a feeling that they might have given me a sick mouse because I didn't buy a snake from them. I did visit them to look around when I was looking for a snake but they told me a lot of bull[bleep] and gave me an outragous price for the ball.
Is it normal for the mice's feces to look like that? Do I have a reason to be concerned? Should I wait a week and feed him the breeder's mouse?
