Been a while since I posted an Ecko Update....

Heather Nov 24, 2003 07:30 PM

He's still going strong! His tail is getting fatter every day (along with his belly! ). He's attacking 2-3 crickets twice a day like they're going out of style! Yes, He's on crickets now, not waxies. He opens his eyes regularly too. He doesn't seem to like to though. When they are open, they're bright and clear but He keeps them closed a lot of the time... Any idea why? He's not albino, He's a circleback normal I think.... Pics are coming... Have to get the film developed..... LOL Just wanted to update you guys. Thanks for all your help and advice. The little bugger thanks ya too!!

Jak keeps his eyes closed a lot during the say too, as do most leo's. Since they are nocternal, their eyes are made for night time viewing. If you look into Ecko's eyes during the day, or just in the light, you'll probablly notice that the pupils are barely visible little slits. I have to image them having their eyes open in the light, is similar to how you feel after you come out of a dark movie theater into a bright afternoon sun, only that's how it is all the time for them. Anyways, glad to hear Ecko's doing well.
