Pensicola and surrounding area has some that are orangish but they are also usually very dark, many having lots of black crossovers.If there was anyone lucky enough to find a BRIGHTLY colored one...say a hypo or something, they would be extremely nice. Personally, I like the S.Florida specimens because of the brilliant YELLOW that is wider than northern counterparts. If you have the pic, can you email it to me please?? Thanks,Jeff

I have lived in the panhandle of florida for 15 yrs. I have seen loads of scarlet snakes and coral snakes but havent seen my first scarlet king. I guess I havent peeled back enough bark!
