I never was able to. Way too messy to try. I either used the whole can, or junked what was left.

hi j
when i was done using it for the time being i would let the tube get set and then poke it out with a long wire which takes awhile. while it is still wet in the tube you can sort of clean it out by the method i just wrote. or just hold the can upright, the gas comes out but not the gunk. but then that takes the pressure down in the can for future use. either way i don't like to use the stuff to me it is very messy. you get it all over your body, hair etc and you need a solvent to clean it off.
i would try maybe a plaster product, "hydrocal" or something called "mountains in a minute", hobby shops have both. this stuff you mx yourself part A and part B, sort of like the great stuff but it is not preasurized. i have never used it but the directions seem pretty simple
wish you the best with the stuff.

Ill admit that great stuff can be a little messy if you get it on your hands, but I never have it flying through the air so much that it gets in my hair. Just messing with you pawalt. Seriously though, Ive never had a problem cleaning out the nozzle. I just let all the foam in it dry completely then I use needlenose plyers to grab some and pull out the entire chunk. It has never broken off for me and I always get a nice clean piece. It has to be completly dry for this to work though. I use to make an effort to clean out the tube, but now I dont even bother using it. But I did find out that standard aquarium airline tubing works good for making cheap new tubes. Talk to you guys later.

I found that a wire coat hanger is just the right diameter. If there's a small kink in one end, it works even better. I just let the stuff dry completely, fish the coat hanger through, and it's ready to rock 'n roll. I find that the stuff is pretty easy to use, and I really don't find it very messy. There's really no need to touch the stuff, and it dispenses pretty slowly.
