Superworm beetle

buffysmom Nov 24, 2003 11:31 PM

I found what can only be a superworm beetle in my frog's cage. I'm sure I lost one in her substrate a few weeks ago. I've isolated another super in a container to get it to morph. My question is do they breed, or are they single-sex reproducers?

They breed. Keep the worms in separate containers (small babyfood jars, for example) until they pupate unto adults, then put them in a plastic container so they can breed and then reproduce.

Thanks. I'm "cookin" another one in a seperate container now. I hope the first beetle lives long enough & is of the opposite sex!
