im not spar, but i just completed my own misting system. i got a vicks ultra sonic from wal mart (i think its vicks). any ways, what i did was buy a 2 inch pvc end cap. and drill a 5/8" hole in it so my 5/8" od tubing would fit. (i have the luxury of attending a machine shop so i put the end cap on the lathe and cut off nearly a 1 1/2" off the cap so it wasnt as tall and drill my 5/8" hole directly center. )

i siliconed it on to the humidifer, then i bought 5/8" od tubing from lowes. i can squeeze it into the pvc end cap so that it is removable, yet strong enough not to leak water. i then the misting pipes from 3/4" pvc tube. the tubing is glued to a t adapter which evenly despenses the mist between the two openings i have. unfortunantly i do not have pictures yet. but i will in a few days. maybe later today. your welcome if i helped. sorry for the typos

I actually like the other posts idea also. Tubing would look very nice compared to PVC. I am too lazy to Silicon though, a person needs patience for that

However, to answer your question, you just need to make sure the Unit says 2 things on it:

1) "Ultrasonic Humdifier"
2) "Cool Mist"... this is important because some have Heaters in them (Heat Mist maybe ... and you dont want to fry your frogs.

Mine is made by the company Sunbeam, and Walgreens also puts their name on it. I am sure Wal Mart and similar places to that also have their own version of Sunbeam manufactured UH's.

In the top of the unit, where the Fog comes out of, there is a hole which should be 2" in diameter. This is where you will need something 2" in diameter, with a hole in the middle, to shorten that diameter for thin PVC or Tubing to fit in. I used a Rubber Stopper that you can get in the plumbing department at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. 3/4" inch PVC fits perfectly into the Rubber Stopper with no leaks. After that you can redirect the PVC with PVC L-Curves and/or T-Curves. I have heard that 1 unit is acceptable for up to 5 tanks, so the T-Curves would make that very easy.

It really was very simple, compared to what i thought, to setup. Make sure you have a Hack Saw to cut the PVC up though. I had to make a 2nd trip to the hardware store to buy one. With low Patience that didn't make me happy

Hope this helps.
