Pebbles is here!

georgio Nov 25, 2003 12:38 PM

Just got Pebbles, my new female Egyptian in today. She is very sweet, loving and trusting. She weighs about 680 grams so she has a bit of catching up to do with Boulder (although I'm not really sure of what the size discrepency between males and females is supposed to be...). Hope you like her!

This is her quarantine cage in my room.

Here she is for size comparison:

And this is her just being cute on the bed:

What an adorable "little" girl. Are you considering going for robyn's "new" idea for enclosures for her?

I'm not sure if it happened during shipping or what but she won't put pressure on her left front leg. I took her to the vet and he said he could not feel a fracture. He gave her an anti-inflamatory injection. Hopefully she just bumped it in shipping and sprained it a bit. If she still can't walk on it I'm going to have to get x-rays on monday.

Yeah, I called them this morning and informed them. They said she was walking perfectly before shipping. They said they would pay for half the vet bill as well. I hope it's nothing serious...she's been through a lot in the last couple days.

She's so cute! I read futher down the posts and saw that she has a hurt leg, hope that gets better soon. In your care I'm sure she will flourish like Boulder. Keep us posted on her little leg. Best of luck with her.
