What I do is for one month I reduce the ammount of light in my snake room until I reach my goal of 7.5 8 hours total and the rest of the time there are no lights at all. If you ues light as your main source of heat you may want to switch to heat tape of mats. When I reach my goal of 8 hours of light a day I introduce my male to the females cage, courting should begin soon after. I have noticed that most courting happens at night so you may want to get a flashlight to check on them. Good luck
