I've had Tut since May 2002. He was about 2 months old when I got him & has turned out to be an awesome critter.
He's currently living in a pen in my bedroom with a 4 month old Hermanns & will go back outside in the spring. He got a treat today when I came across a patch of blooming dandelions.

That picture is so cute.. Do they mind being held? Are the nice?
Egyptian tortoises do stay small (about 4 inches as adults) and do seem to do better as a group as most tortoises do. This is not a good beginning tortoise unless you have your heart set on working with them. They tend to be delicated as a rule. A russian tortoise might be a better choice as a first tortoise.
