Fluval 404 vs. Filstar XP3

I've decided to bite the bullet and get a reall good filter for my 29-gallon tank, but I'm torn between the Fluval 404 and the Filstar XP3. I've read comparable reviews on both, so I thought I'd check around for a vote!

i don't own either of them, but based on what i read at forums, the filstar xp3 seems to be better. one thing though, the filstar doesn't come with 1 type of media (i think biological) so you have to buy it seperately. the fluval comes with everything though.

You can format your posts and signature using BBCode. Here are some common examples:

Keep things readable and family‑friendly; staff may edit signatures or posts that affect thread readability.
