Did my BD puke? What's on my cage glass???

JLJ2018 Nov 25, 2003 10:06 PM

Came home from work today and there's spots of....stuff...don't know what it is, on two walls of my cage. It's kinda white, kinda green...weird little chunks. My BD had eaten a bunch of silkworms at lunch and wondering if he spewed all over the place or what. There's no chunks or any other matter on the floor or cage furnishings, just the little specks on the wall. By the way, my temps are just fine so that's not an issue. He also made a huge poo today so he's obviously not impacted or anything. Just really has me perplexed as to what this shmeckle is on the walls and why there's nothing on the floor. Any ideas?

look for undigested plant matter or cricket parts (whatever you are feeding) but could still be poop. I had a Beardie whip his tail into a pile of fresh poop. All over the glass. At least there was glass between him and me. Cage got a cleaning, he got a shower and a good scrubbing.

That's gotta be it because it's up high on the cage and little spots are splattered EVERYWHERE. There's no way he could projectile vomit little tiny spots like that and cover an area on the glass 16 inches long. There's no undigested pieces of silkworms and nothing on the floor...glad you figured out my mystery...I was freaking out!

Is it by his food dish? Did he eat the silkworms right where you see the splatter? I notice that when my dragons eat them, sometimes when they bite down, the watery stuff in the silkworms get’s squirted out and can make a mess...

No, it was up high at the very top of the cage where the branches are and splattered all over the place. Thanks for the tip though...I'll keep that in mind!
