can someone tell me the best way to provide 80% humidity in a 40 gallon long aquarium

What are you using for substrate?
What are you using for heat source?
Cover the top w/ aluminum foil leave a small section open .

im using bedabeast and a 100 watt heat lamp for heat.

If this is for a species that hides and/or burrows a lot you may not want to maintain 80% humidity. For such species it is only necessary (in fact essential) to provide a small area or hide with elevated humidities.

Also, for many high-humidity species it is actually best to elevate the humidity to 80% several times a day rather than keeping it constantly high.

But there are species specific exceptions.

dont use tinfoil.

Cover the screen with a towel (cut a hole in it for a basking lamp) put the lamp directly above the heat lamp. Mist twice a day.
