Confused!

Champagne Nov 26, 2003 12:23 AM

Okay.. I've come to the conclusion I should order onlin erather than getting a Ball from my pet store. But! The thing is, I have no idea how to order online. I've read all the terms and conditions for a couple breeders but I still don't know when to pay, or hwo to get my money to them... If you can't tell, I'm not one for online shopping... Oh my, so confusing... And to top it off, It costs so much! $100 or so for the snake, that I can handle. Then, almost $80 for the shipping, and, since I'm in Canada it's an extra $200 or something to get it shipped internationally! I mean, i really want the snake but damn... Lol. Do you guys pay that much? Anyways... ... ... I'm so confused, help!

Ummm.....I would think that by contacting the breeder you want to buy from, those questions would be answered, no? LOL!

Why in the he!! would you buy a normal Ball from the States when there are at least 4-8 breeders in Canada that produced over 60 Ball Pythons this year for sale? Trust me when I say that shipping from the States is going to be more than 80 bucks!! LOL. CITES paperwork and inspection fees on both sides of the border are going to make any order less than 2-3 GRAND not worth it.

There is a site called www.kingsnake.ca you know.

I'd just like to mention that Pet Stores can supply nice Balls.

If it's somewhere you have used before, trust and can obtain records on the snakes, you should be fine.

My pet store supplied me with mine, I have two of the most exquiste "Normals" I've ever seen and they were $40 ea. and both were CBB from in state breeders. The store owner himself is a breeder (43 BCCs and BCIs) and has helped me more than I could have asked for.

If you go for normals, buy in a store... if you want a fancy morph, go online.

GOOD LUCK

Why not go to a reptile show? Don't know exactly where in Canada you are, but I know there's one this weekend in Canada (heard others talking about it).

Deffinitely check out www.kingsnake.ca python forum. I don't know alot of python breeders in Canada off hand but the classified section at ks.ca often has python's available.

Once you find a breeder who has pythons you are interested in, just give them a call (some provide their phone numbers) or send them an email with your questions. Most breeders will accept payments through several means, money orders, cheques, credit cards, paypal etc. You will have to ask the individual breeder for specifics. However I am sure most will want you to send the money first, or at least a down payment before shipping you the snake.
