I've owned a few over the years. From baby ground boas to Viper boas to Solomon tree boas. I've always been fascinated with this group. Now I work exculively work with boa morph, BUT, I plan on getting some more!
I remember having babies ground boas. In TN geckos, small tree frogs & anoles...do not exsit! So, I bought an old blender @ a garage sale. I put in 2 f/t Anoles & pushed puree. This is what I called "lizard butter" I then got an old ice tray & poured the butter into the ice tray. When it was feeding time, I'd let 1 cube thaw out in a bowl of pinkies. This scent trick worked wonders for me. I also used guppeis. I'd slide em down their lil' throats. I dusted em with Calcium powder. This put size & weight on quickly, which in return would get em eating pinks with lizard butter, which I'd eventually switch to just pinkies. I have VERY fond memories of working with Candioa. I say, back in the day, I'd e mail Jerry Conway almost daily. He always took time to answer my questions. He's a good dude. Well enough babbling. I love this new forum & look forward to visiting it often. I do have one favor to ask of you Candioa fans.................. * PLEASE POST SOME PICS OF YOUR CANDIOAS! * You all have a good day & take care
