Looks like you've put a lot of care into it.
What is the wire going into the tea box? A few suggestions: I'm assuming the milk cap is for calcium, that's great. You'll want a water dish & a food dish, too. I have found that my leos are uncomfortable in see-through hides, so you may want to make those darker. I've done this by wrapping them in a dark wash cloth before. I'm not sure how else to make them darker. Any suggestions anyone?
Best of luck with your new friend! I'm sure you'll love leos!

I agree with the hides. Try making them darker somehow, or use black/brown paint (a safe brand) and let it fry for a few days.

I meant "dry", lol.

Hi all thx for ur replies, i was thinking of sticking black selotape on the see through hides though this may keep in some heat although they would then feel comfy i presume, tell me what you think. What thermostat/s do u lot use??? those see through hides are my moist hides. Is it ok just to have one moist hide half on the heat mat and half not??? Lots of questions which i hope someone will answer to.Thx again Gilbery007

Hi, not sure what selotape is but was thinking of duct tape myself. Of course, if it loosens up you'll have to replace the tape.

Ziplock brand has a good size square container meant for leftovers and for Christmas they are being made in red or green. They're about ideal for moist hides, the plastic is easy to cut with scissors, and you can see through the walls (sort of). Most of my leos have the moist hide partly over the UTH. I think you'll find it interesting to see where the leo(s) prefer to hide. How many little ones will be in there? And what is that string?

Best of luck to you!

There will only be one female going in that side of the tank that i have shown i have another side exactly the same as that one which i will put up if u want me to, the 2 sides are sharing a heat mat which i've had a prob with but sorted it now i just added another layer of kitchen roll.Yes the tape im using is black ducting tape very good stuff.Just ran out damnThat wire is my digital thermometer lol.got three thermometers checking temps.1 Digital 2 stick on's which are layed on the bottom of the tank measuring the ground temps. Can't wait to get my 2 female leo's only 1 day left.I'm getting them on friday yey.Thx for ur input/s Gilbery007

I think it's actually better to have the humid hide half on and half off the heat mat, since it allows them to thermoregulate inside the hide. Good luck with your babies!

When I saw their Christmas containers, I thought, "Those would make great humid hides!" But I couldn't decide between the red or the green, so I got both.

That's so funny! Ziplock is the fourth brand I've tried and so far I like them the best. Some are a real P.I.T.A to cut with scissors. Happy Thanksgiving!

Its kept very simple, and thats good especially if they are young leos.
Just make sure that you provide a humid hide. I'm not sure if you had one in there or not, but I would imagine so.

Keep a dish of water, food, and a calcium dish to.

Your good to go!
