cal king size?

i was wondering if a 28in. male california kingsnake is big enuff to breed in the spring hibornated ofcorse thanks.

If you brumate him this winter: 1) He will have viable sperm to reproduce 2) Can and will reproduce - BUT, as with all Cal King breedings, you will have to watch for cannibilism, especially with a size difference. It is also timing during the breeding season - one week they want to eat each other, the next they want to breed. I breed ALL of my males at 18 months old, and some females at 18 months old.

28 inches is plenty big for a male. Good luck
