Okay, I could not help myself

mbmcewen Nov 26, 2003 06:45 PM

I couldn't help it....I had to put them in. Food is no problem though. I dumped in around 80 FF this morning...they will not have to hunt to hard for food. One hangs out in the rear right corner, one the rear left....one hangs out up on top of the background right below the hood...and this one walks around like he is king of the hill.

If you put a small slice of washed banana or other fruit in the cage, the fruit flies would be really easy for the frogs to find. That is what I did and it worked out quite well.

I have a piece of banana in there, and it does the trick. The frogs already know where to go for food.

Is that a panamanian "polka dot"?

mbmcewen Nov 27, 2003 10:10 AM

Panamanian green and black...basic morph I imagine

Great pic. I really like that piece of driftwood. If I were you, I'd try to seed the tank with some springtails as well. Cute froglet, too.

Thanks! Truthfully, I am worried about one of them. He is perching at the top of the tank and not coming down. He is eating, but only the ff that make there way to the top...nowhere near as many as his tankmates get. If he Doesn't come down in a coupld more days, i will put him back in shoebox.

Just watch him I bet he comes down. My one leuc did that at first then came down. As long as it is eating.

I put a little piece of pear next to him so that the ff that go up top might congregate there.

Sounds like a good idea, he will come down at some point.
