Happy Thanksgiving!!

fruitionx Nov 26, 2003 09:57 PM

I wish you all a happy and safe thanksgiving. If you are goign away or are away from your home, i wish you safe travels; if you are home, like me, enjoy being in your own bed. I for one spoil my lizards on Thanksgiving, i bought my leopard geckos a pinkie each and the uros are getting a 'mini feast' of fruits, dry food and greens of course. Maybe i will throw in a super for them. Anyways have a great holiday!!

oh by the way here's a question for any vegitarian people out there, what do you all eat on thanksgiving? 3 or 4 years ago i ate Tofu Turkey with my cousin and his girlfriend since they are vegitarian and vegan. Just curious...

Hey,
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! I am a vegetarian, but my family it not. So, my dad still makes the turkey, but makes me mushroom gravy, and doesn't put turkey juice in either of the stuffing-cornbread and regular. So, I have carrots, squash, stuffing, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes w/mushroom gravy and rolls I eat tofu on a regular basis in stir fry, but have yet to try a tofu turkey...I don't like the taste of meat, so I probably wouldn't have one, since I think they are for vegetarians that like the taste of turkey. Anyways, I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving

I've been vegetarian off and on for many years (off and on because of a soy sensitivity that flares up :P ). My family is also NOT vegetarian. I either just ate side dishes or made myself a really excellent tofu loaf that a friend of mine gave me the recipe for. It kind of looks like a meatloaf, but tastes completely different. The name makes it sound repulsive, but it's actually very good. I've never had tofurkey, either.
