Crossbreeds

Arklier Nov 26, 2003 11:27 PM

I'm curious if anyone has any pics of crossbreed or crossmorph PDFs. Now, let me make it clear right out of the gate that I am in no way advocating the production of crossbreeds or crossmorphs. But I know that they sometimes happen, probably even in the wild. I only keep two azureus and a single tinc (in a seperate enclosure) but I am curious as to what these unfortunate frogs look like.

Interesting. I'm rather surprised at some of the crosses listed, considering the size difference of the two species. Tinc/auratus or tinc/leuc, for instance.

In the third pic, it sais:

"This is the least clear of the three pictures.
You can see the heavier spotting where a tinct pattern on the back would be located."

Though, my azureus has alot more and heavier spotting than that. Just wondering if "heavy spotting" would be a characteristic of being a hybrid?

Why the hell would anyone in their right mind do such a thing, this takes the hobby back to the dark ages of dog breeding, and with such a delacate wild population im appauled.
