Northern Pines

gofer Nov 27, 2003 01:14 AM

Russell, these guys are doing just great. I had a few really nice bloodlines of Northerns here, but had to cut back a little on my projects and ended up with only a few Northerns and Bulls. Picked up too much as usual, hahaha.

I just love the pattern on this female, I can't wait to see what those "open" or hollow looking saddles turn out to look like as an adult.

Have a good one,

Gregg F.

Billy!!!
those are NOT Meltzer bloodline, those are Russell Keys bloodline, and they are NORTH DAKOTA Northern Pines....he he he he....*snicker snicker* Yeah ok, the adults came from John, but his adults came from somebody too, so technically not Meltzer, only Meltzer cause he bred them, SO! If "I" bred those babies, they should be called, Keys Reptiles Northern Pines! Am I not correct?

uh, yes, do try to hear the teasing in my voice, I know what you meant. But...I still insist they should be called, Keys Pines...*grin*

I don't think we are nasty, we just like credit where credit is due...LOL! Anyhow, doin good, all the kids are in hibernation, just looked through them the other day. The young male Northern Pine sure gave me a funny look, like, what the heck do you want? Oh well, all seemed just fine, as expected. So just chilling out, and enjoying the peace and quiet of this time of year. Soon enough it'll be another breeding season with babies coming out my ears!

Greg, curious as to what this means? blank, meltzer, keys, feaster lineage...hahaha, (big grin right now)

Does that mean blank bred a pair and sold a pair from that pair to meltzer who bred that pair and sold a pair from that pair to keys who bred that pair and sold a pair from that pair to you?

Confusing as stated but I'm curious as to when one considers a line of herps in general overly inbred? Not that I am picking on these as I'm sure every corn I have here is related no matter what the morph or who I purcahsed them from LOL. Just something that got me thinking (which is a rarity) about many of these herps we keep. I hear so many views on this but figured why not hear some more.
